What step can you take toward what you want RIGHT now?⁠

When we have a big idea or are thinking about making a change in our lives, we often get stuck in “analysis paralysis.” We make endless pros and cons lists, or we spend months agonizing over elaborate plans and talking to people about what we want to do. We fool ourselves into thinking we’re being productive and working toward our dream, when really just spinning our wheels and tricking ourselves that we are doing something.⁠

When you have an idea you want to bring to life or a dream you want to pursue, start by taking literally the easiest step that’s available to you. Look around you: What’s the simplest thing you can do that’s within your reach? If you want to start a business, maybe it’s calling a potential supplier. If you want to pursue higher education, go online and look at the class schedule and enroll at the college. If you dream of moving to a foreign country, download an app to start learning the language.⁠ Don’t worry what the next step after that will be — it’ll come to you when you get there, just like the first one did. You need to break up the stuck energy with inspired action. Just keep taking those next closest steps, over and over again. In the meantime, you can be developing your plan or strategizing along the way, but don’t avoid taking action by getting into analysis paralysis. Over planning can actually be an avoidance technique!⁠

Remember, taking inspired action creates momentum — and that momentum will propel you forward until before you know it, you’re living the life you always wanted all the way along not just when you get to a final destination, at least your moving. Inspired yummy momentum creates energy. ⁠
